Liz, Liz, Liz……

Posted by gschroeder On September - 23 - 2011

Please listen and view the you tube here on my site to understand what I’m talking about in this article. Elizabeth Warren is running against Scott Brown for Senate in Massachusetts .  If you listen to her rant you find out that business is bad…having money is bad..and you are not doing enough in this economy if you own a business. Without government you Mr Businessman would be hard pressed to make a dollar.  You used  our roads, our schools, our hospitals to make your money and the government wants a “chunk” of it back. There is a major flaw in her thinking…..its similar to the chicken and the egg argument…what comes first.

Liz listen, you have it backwards….without entrepreneurs to start businesses and hire people there’s no money to fund government!!!! In this down economy the point is made daily.  The government needs more money (A point I dispute) because companies aren’t doing well and job losses are daily. Without income from these jobs consumers can’t spend.  Without spending, tax revenues are down and without jobs less money from the private sector makes its way to Washington in the form of various taxes.

Her point about Wars and tax breaks under Bush fail to account for the spending by Obama (who she worked for during his current administration).

Our President has only “stimulated” his supporter base with his free spending of our taxes on shoring up the jobs of the Unions who fund his campaign.

To you liberals out there I’m sure you wish you could vote for her. She defines liberalism in that government is “good” and business is “bad”.  Profit is a bad word as well to this bunch.

Remember this…were it not for people with ideas and the willingness to risk their personal funds to try and make their ideas reality we would still be traveling on dirt roads with horses and log cabin buildings would be the normal house in which we live.  Hospitals would still be “bleeding people” to cure illnesses instead of treating them with today’s drugs.. So Liz understand that we are a successful Country not because of government restrictions but in spite of them!

Labor Day (or the lack thereof)2011

Posted by gschroeder On September - 5 - 2011

Happy Labor day to those of you with a day off from “labor”. Unfortunately for many of you today is like every other Monday as far as not going to work.  This economy keeps sliding farther and farther south  and I don’t see the bottom yet.  Unlike some in media who have reported the economy is recovering slowly…look again.  No new jobs created last month…not one!  First time in 45 YEARS that’s happened.  No worries however because our President will outline his jobs program on Thursday September 8th..then everything will be great.  Let me see, I think he will state that we need more stimulus to the tune of two TRILLION more to be pumped into the economy.  That will solve everything….but he will be opposed by the Republicans in Congress and a handful of Democrats and then Mr Obama will say he tried but those politicians are playing politics with our future..blah, blah, blah.

MR President if you want to create jobs or an atmosphere where jobs can be created please do the following…

1. Lift the moratorium on drilling in the Gulf and let those people go back to work.

2.Allow for more oil exploration in the U.S. and quit funding GREEN energy companies with our tax dollars.  Another one (a solar energy company) just bit the dust in California and it was funded by our tax dollars which we won’t get back)

3. If their is a more affordable and sensible source of energy the private sector will find it without tax dollars if it makes business sense.  Just because you say an alternate source is the answer, doesn’t make it so….ask T.Boone Pickens and his wind answer….

4.  Lower the corporate tax rates (we are higher than any industrial nation on the planet)

5.Make the Bush Tax cuts permanent and do it now!!!!!!

That’s just a start but I’m not in the cabinet or getting paid as an advisor, so call me if you need more help.

The reality is Mr Obama does not want this economy to turn around….yes that’s right, he does not.  The more people depending on government for their existence the more votes Mr Obama can expect in November 2012.  In the Press he will blame Republicans for being obstructionists but he knows his only chance to get re elected is to continue down this path and blame others!!!

Sunday he was in New Jersey to show he cares about those who have been hurt by Hurricane Irene.  It supposedly shows his emotional side and he was quoted as saying we will not turn our backs on these victims.  Someone asked him to give them a million dollars and they would be alright.  Mr Obama faked that he was looking in his pants for his wallet to “see what he had on him”

Although this may seem like a funny moment it points to a bigger problem in our Country.  Too many people look at the Federal government today as a source of free money with no strings.  It wasn’t that long ago I saw the video of women in Detroit when asked where they received their funds referring to it as “Obama’s Stash!”

We must get back to a sense of taking care of ourselves whenever possible and look to the Fed as a last resort.  Yes we help our fellow citizens in time of crisis but we used to do it directly…neighbors helping neighbors and friends extending a helping hand….not a federal program for this or that!

Finally when the President says its time to quit playing politics we need to ask him this question….why did you go to New Jersey instead of Vermont which was harder hit than New Jersey….the answer is that his poll numbers in New Jersey (a State he carried in 2008) were down considerably…Not so  in Vermont….damn Tea Party People!
